During the opening ceremony, YB Tuan Chiew Choon Man, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia, delivered a keynote speech. He stated that against the backdrop of accelerated global digitalization and intelligent transformation, culture and tourism are becoming vital bridges connecting nations and peoples. Artificial intelligence, new media, and digital technologies are continuously reshaping the cultural value chain, creating new development opportunities for the content industry.
He noted that China and Malaysia possess highly complementary strengths in cultural resources and digital technology. With its multicultural heritage and regional hub advantages, Malaysia can leverage China’s leading position in digital infrastructure and content industry development. Both sides should further deepen cooperation in areas such as cultural content, tourism integration, and industrial synergy, transitioning from dialogue to implementation, to achieve higher-quality and sustainable development.
President's Address: Building a New China-Malaysia Digital Cultural Industry Cooperation System
Zhang Tonglin, President of the Asia Innovation Research Hub (AIRH), stated that in the face of trends in artificial intelligence, digital content, and regional integration, both sides should focus on collaborative content creation and joint brand building.
