AIRH Strengthens China–ASEAN Business Support Network Through Strategic Partnership and High-Level Investment Exchange

Asia Innovation Research Hub Hosts China–Malaysia Investment & Business Support Closed-door Exchange Meeting in Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia | 2 July 2026

The Asia Innovation Research Hub (AIRH) successfully hosted the China–Malaysia Investment & Business Support Closed-door Exchange Meeting on 2 July 2026 at its headquarters in Kuala Lumpur, bringing together representatives from leading financial institutions, international law firms, professional service providers, and Chinese enterprises to discuss practical strategies for cross-border investment, business establishment, legal compliance, and sustainable growth in Malaysia and the broader ASEAN region.

The event served as a high-level platform for knowledge exchange and professional collaboration, reflecting the increasing demand for integrated business support services as more Chinese enterprises expand into Southeast Asia.

A key highlight of the meeting was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Asia Innovation Research Hub (AIRH) and Beijing Dacheng (Xiamen) Law Firm, establishing a long-term strategic partnership to jointly support China–ASEAN cross-border investment, legal and regulatory compliance, enterprise internationalization, and industrial collaboration. The partnership aims to strengthen the professional support ecosystem available to companies operating across both markets.

As regional economic integration continues to accelerate under the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), Malaysia has emerged as one of the key gateways for Chinese enterprises seeking access to the ASEAN market. At the same time, Malaysian and ASEAN companies are increasingly exploring opportunities for cooperation and expansion in China.

Against this backdrop, AIRH has positioned itself as a regional platform dedicated to strengthening collaboration among governments, industries, enterprises, universities, and professional institutions across China and ASEAN. Through resource integration, international partnerships, project coordination, and localized business support, AIRH aims to facilitate sustainable cross-border cooperation and investment.

During the meeting, AIRH shared its strategic vision and ongoing initiatives, highlighting its commitment to building an integrated service platform that supports enterprises throughout every stage of their international expansion—from market entry and regulatory navigation to partnership development and long-term business operations.

Industry experts from banking, legal, and corporate advisory sectors delivered a series of practical presentations covering key aspects of investing and operating in Malaysia.

Topics included corporate banking services, Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance, cross-border payment solutions, company incorporation, investment structuring, legal and regulatory compliance, corporate governance, employment regulations, and operational risk management.

Participants also exchanged views on strengthening collaboration between professional service providers and business support organizations to create a more efficient and coordinated ecosystem for enterprises expanding into ASEAN markets.

The newly established strategic partnership between AIRH and Beijing Dacheng (Xiamen) Law Firm represents an important step toward enhancing the professional service infrastructure supporting cross-border business activities between China and ASEAN.

By combining AIRH’s regional network and resource integration capabilities with Dacheng’s expertise in international legal services and regulatory compliance, both organizations will work together to provide enterprises with more comprehensive support in areas including investment facilitation, legal advisory, compliance management, business localization, and international cooperation.

AIRH will continue to expand its network of strategic partners across finance, legal services, professional consulting, academia, industry associations, and government-related organizations, further strengthening the regional ecosystem for cross-border innovation and business collaboration.

Guided by its vision of “Connect Innovation · Drive Collaboration · Shape the Future,” AIRH remains committed to promoting practical cooperation between China and ASEAN by creating trusted platforms that facilitate investment, innovation, knowledge exchange, and sustainable economic development.

As China–ASEAN economic ties continue to deepen, AIRH looks forward to working with partners from across the region to support enterprises in achieving long-term, responsible, and mutually beneficial international growth.
